Welcome to my life. It's crazy, filled with love, and often a bit messy. I wouldn't have it any other way.

29 weeks

I cannot even believe that I am already 29 weeks. It's hard to believe that Limer will be here so soon. It's very exciting and a little nerve racking.
Well, this week has been a bit of a tough one. I had a rough couple of days at work. It started on Wednesday when one of the mothers on my caseload started yelling at me about her son's services and then started twisting my words. Like I would actually say that I am denying her son services. Yikes! That just made me feel icky. Luckily I held it together while I was on the phone and while I was at work for the most part. Only a few tears escaped. It sucks that I am the face of the system to her, so I'm the one that gets yelled at. Also, silly other things happened that day like spilling my chicken salad sandwich on myself. Just a rough overall day.
Moving on to Thursday, I had an appointment about 20 minutes from the house first thing in the morning. As I'm driving I call my midwife's office because they left a message for me and I find out the I failed the 1 hour glucose screening and now need to come back for the 3 hour! Yikes! So I schedule the appointment on Monday (my day off). Grr! Then I'm driving and suddenly I hit a pothole and there goes the tire on the Scion. Jon and I have dealt with these tires before I cannot wait to get rid of that car so I don't need to worry about tires all the time. So I call lots of people to try to figure out what to do about the tire because I'm definitely not going to change it. Finally I remember that we have roadside service on our insurance. I called the insurance agent and spoke to a woman who was sooooo helpful. She found someone to come out and put on the spare so I could go and buy a new tire (definitely not fixable, there was a rock sticking out of it). Luckily the family I was supposed to meet with was super great too and moved our appointment to later.
Now that I write about it, my week doesn't seem so bad. Maybe it's just the pregnancy hormones getting the best of me.
There were also some fun things this week. I started to knit Limer's baby blanket. I was really worried that I wouldn't finish it by the time he comes because I've never attempted a blanket before and didn't know how much time it would take, but it looks like I'll finish in time. I'm already about a quarter done. Whoo hoo!
Jon and I also went to register at Babies R Us. Registering for a little one is so crazy. Luckily we have a ton of stuff from family so we don't need too many big items. We picked out some cute little outfits. I can't wait til he's here and wearing that fun stuff.
