Welcome to my life. It's crazy, filled with love, and often a bit messy. I wouldn't have it any other way.

26 Weeks

Here I am in the last week before the third trimester. It's pretty crazy to think about. Little Limer is now about 14 inches long and weighs about a pound and two thirds. No wonder I'm starting to feel sore at the end of the day. Limer's little ears are continuing to develop and hear more. Jon spent some time this week reading him some poems. It was so fun. I love the thought that Little Limer will come out and recognize our voices and maybe even be soothed by sounds that he's familiar with. I haven't been playing him as much music lately, but Jon is working on a baby playlist. Limer is also bulking up and putting on that baby fat that we'll think is so cute.
My life is pretty much the same. I'm still getting some back pain. Yesterday Jon and I spent some time cleaning the house and I definitely over did it a bit. I wasn't really aware of how much I was bending over and lifting things. Yikes! Cleaning will now need to be spread out over several days instead of one morning. As I mentioned earlier, I'm feeling more sore at the end of the day. My muscles are definitely working hard to stretch and make more room for Limer. I also noticed some growth this week. The tummy is getting bigger and moving on up. So far I haven't had any kicks to the ribs, but my long torso probably protects me from that for at least a little longer. I also had people comment on the fact that I'm pregnant this week. Previously people I didn't know didn't say anything because I'm sure that they didn't want to offend me if I wasn't pregnant. Apparently now I'm really looking pregnant though. Friday I attended a training and came in with an egg sandwich from McDonald's and one of the women said, "One of the joys of pregnancy." Yay! I like being obviously pregnant, although I've felt like I was obviously pregnant for quite some time. Also, because of the growth I've had in the past week I'm realizing that my long torso is going to once again cause problems with clothes. I have some t-shirts from Old Navy that are supposed to be long because they are maternity, but are already becoming a little short on me. They didn't shrink either. I'm worried about what I'm going to do once I become really big. I've still got 3 months to go afterall.
